Animals & Wildlife

My husband and I are strong supporters of wildlife and environmental groups like National Wildlife and we also support local animal rescue organizations, including Save A Pet, The Humane Society and The Golden Retriever Rescue Group of NW Ohio. We own three rescue dogs and also three cats who found their way to our door despite the fact that the door was guarded by three large canines.

Animals are much more fun to paint than people. The fur and the texture of it is always a challenge and they all seem to have their own personalities, which I strive to include in my art. Backgrounds colors can have a huge impact on the look and feel of your pet portrait so I like to talk it over before I begin.
